K-Mart Grease Pot ? ? ?

OK,,, I think I have read all the posts here on BP regarding the K-Mart Grease Pot. I've seen all the info on how to make various potstands for them, how to design a lid that lifts it, how to make lampshades for them, how to convert one into an emergency telephone, how to turn one into a Lamborghini...

A stove from this????

Anyone have any ideas about how you could make a stove from this 'Badger sore muscle rub' tin?

May be a good size to try with?
2" across
5/8" tall (bottom part)

Think 'mini-Altoids tin...

If it works, would be a great travel size, I think????

Re: Tea Lite Candle Holder

Zelph, Your comments said you keep the pull tab intact to accomodate hanging, correct? Maybe I'm not getting this, but if the hanging wire is attached to the top of the can, which is inside the plastic bottle, wont the can slide right out of the bottle when you hang it? How tightly does the can fit ...

Re: pot stands... has anyone seen this before?

I came across this at Home Depot this weekend. I found it in the Aluminum / Vinyl Gutter section in Building materials area. It is an "Expanded Aluminum Gutter Strainer". It truly is light weight, has an 'accordian-type' flexibility to it, can expand and contract with minimal manipulation ...

The soda can part may not be necessary but was added as a safety precaution.Enjoy! http://www.bplite...

Has anyone made a functional water-cooled camping light / lantern from 2 small plastic bottles and a 3/4" round candle inside them? If so, what specific types of plastic bottles have you found that works the best (inner / outer)? Or, what do all ya'll do for lighting your camp at night? Head la...

Re: Lightweight blistered lips fix

Here may be a quick fix: I've put TWO (2) bright yellow rubber wrist bands that you can buy these days (to support a particular cause - think Lance Armstrong's "LIVESTRONG" wrist bands) around the outside top of my Henieken pot for drinking out of. Keeps the bottom lip from getting burned ...
