Looks like tonite my neighbors cat gets an unexpected treat. amazingly, I've never made a FF before, despite having a huge section of fiberglass cloth. I wonder if one could make a FF that easily came apart so that it could serve as a second stove and the simmer ring as discussed here. I'd loveto ha...

Taming The Starlyte
Z- have you ever experimented with a water-bath or some other method of reducing the heat output of the Starlyte? I'd like to be able to trail-bake biscuits with it, but it's a bit of a flamethrower as it currently is. I love it and would like to only bring one stove.

Take the legs off of that Pasta Cooker, and suddenly you've shaved off a couple 13-14 pounds, moving yourself down from Super-ultra heavyweight to just Ultra heavyweight. Shave them pounds where you can!

Have you experimented by trying to add "ridgelines" to a Walmart greasepot? Could it make a tough little pot even tougher?

Just Add Water
Saw on another forum a post from someone saying they added water to the alcohol in a wick-type stove to reduce heat output. Anyone have anything to add to this? Tried it? Results? Thought this could facilitate baking..
