It strips the end of coaxial cable so you can put a screw type connector end on the end. Used for cable installation where you need to make a custom length of cable.

I use MSR Ground Hogs after them be recomended by just about everyone on hamockforrums.net. They are very durable Aluminum the stake is the Y shape They've held up for me and they are really light.
