Just finished Desert Solitaire a few months ago - having read the Monkey Wrench books a few years ago. He's gruff but makes some good solid points in favor of wild places.
Sarah - Of course you'll get flack from the ultralighters for such a project, but from the realists it sounds like a great idea. It is quite hard to keep from rolling around and falling off your pad, which in the winter is really almost dangerous. I look forward to some pics and testing results. - Sam
