Wow, not only is a stove created from one piece of milled aluminum very cool, the fact that it AND the pot weigh only 28g! Wonderful!

Just finished Desert Solitaire a few months ago - having read the Monkey Wrench books a few years ago. He's gruff but makes some good solid points in favor of wild places.

Sarah - Of course you'll get flack from the ultralighters for such a project, but from the realists it sounds like a great idea. It is quite hard to keep from rolling around and falling off your pad, which in the winter is really almost dangerous. I look forward to some pics and testing results. - Sam

I had incredible success with the plans from BackpackingLight.com uwritten as part of the 5 Yards to SuperUltraLight series. Jay Hamm who wrote it has created numerous pieces of his own gear and has good descriptions and pictures to boot.
