Re: The Skidsteer Crossbar 8000 Alcohol Stove

SD is going to attempt to make a DoodahMan Special once he get's a new Heiny Can pot. I would have to drink a case of Heineken before I could conceivably think of building a pot and stove. I need to steal the ideas and credit from you, Skids, and SGT Rock before I could put it up for sale. :D...

Re: The Skidsteer Crossbar 8000 Alcohol Stove

Zelph,

I think this is what Skids used for the wicking. Ace Hardware has it. I think he used 3/8". Not sure, ask him.

Re: Hot Water Heater Wrap Cozy

Good question Zelph, I really don't have a problem with the flap, but I will sew Velcro on the outside so it will fold out of the way. Good point. As far as the water being poured into the freezer bag, if you squeeze the cozy from the ends inward, it leaves a large, mostly oval opening to ease the w...

Hot Water Heater Wrap Cozy

This Cozy is made out of the stuff you wrap hot water heaters with. It was made for me by Hikernutt last year and plan on taking it next Spring to do some cozy cooking with for sure. It will accomodate quart size freezer bags or pre-packed meals such as Mountain House. The weight is 1.56 oz. or 44g...
