thanks Oops! i wondered if the cleaning needle was needed anymore. i tried the 123R with the needle removed and it still didn't work right. i'll try and explain what the stove is doing. at the end of the pre-heat i open the main valve and the burner lights up, but it pulses; flares up and dies down ...

Daren, I got out my triad stove tonight and did a few test burns and got the same results as you in boil times. An eye dropper or flip top fuel dispenser is what is needed to keep from losing fuel during filling. The legs are sweet. I would love to find a supplier for the legs. I think mine will ha...

yes, and yes.
most all of my windscreens have a hem-in/hem-out on the ends to hook them together.
it would work just fine on the C-cone, provided you get the diameter just right to fit the pot.

i didn't answer this one because it would have been un-fair. me being a sheet metal worker and all. ;) the Malco folding bar comes in different configurations. the most common is a 1/2" on one side and a 1" on the other. as an apprentice (many years ago) i was taught to make my own folding...

it's on the window sill of my picture window. along with a couple dozen other stoves. it's the place were notable stoves live. most of the ones on that shelf actually work though.
