Re: how to waste a day (or two)

Zelph;
in the close-ups of the breach it looks like a break open breach loading barrel that was, at one time, octagonal.

Re: how to waste a day (or two)

i've recently been looking at a Traditions Crocket rifle in .32 caliber. i'm intrigued by the thought of "barking" squirrels, as opposed to just shooting them in the head. (or trying to ;) ) i read a copy of an old writing by a guy that went on a hunting trip with the most well known Davey Crocket h...

Re: how to waste a day (or two)

if i've done the math right, Mr. Spencer was born in 1933. (same year as my father, who taught me to shoot and hunt). that would make him 77 years old now. i hope he is still out there walking around his 200 acre farm, giving the squirrels and bunnies what-for. ;) i've read through all his "musings"...

Re: New Walmart Backpack

The less volume a pack has the lighter it will be and the more cr-- ..er.. "stuff" you'll need to strap on the outside to make up for that lack of volume.I think the lightest pack would consist of a waist belt,couple shoulder straps that go down to your butt(or the waist belt) in the back of daisy ...
