I can only tell you what I have picked up over the years. The good news is that some shoe stores sell a product that comes in an arosol can. You spray it on leather and put on the shoe/boot and the leather stretches some. It seems to work for minor problems. I am not sure what the brand is. You will...

This looks like a tool for aligning holes. When you have two pieces of material with holes in them, and you want to fasten them together, you get them kinda close, then use this tool to get them perfectly in place.

It is a "pick-a-roo" for turning lengths of timber. It is usually used by the people cutting and handling pulp wood for the paper industry.

This appears to be the "anvil" that you would use if you were setting a rivet. The rivet would be placed thru the materials, then they would be placed on the anvil, then the exposed part of the rivet would be peened by a hammer.
