Re: Just for the heck of it!!!

If it only had a handle on top it would make a fine cat carrier. Just the thing for bad-mannered cats with sharp claws.

Re: Mystery Tool 41

I'm WAY too late today. I think that everyone is right. It looks like a smudge pot. Probably from a fruit grove.
Next time I'll have to check MysteryTool quicker to get in on time !!!

I just checked today. At the Walmart in Bartlesville, Ok (NE part of the state), it is $1.28 plus tax.

Re: Price of HEET alcohol for stoves

I picked a couple of bottles up a Wal-mart a few days ago. It was only about $1.50. Next time I go there I'll check to be sure.
This is NE Oklahoma.

Re: Mystery Item 39

It looks like an old military trench knife. They made one like this to serve as a knife and digging tool combination.
It never caught on because it wasn't very good at either purpose.

Re: Mystery Item 38

This one is a stumper!!! The only half-way close guess I have is that they are holders for small wire brushes. The kind that a boss or inspector would have in his pocket to spot check welds or machine work.
They are a little too big to work on watches.

Re: Just For The Heck Of It

This is only a guess, but might it be a smoke generator?
If it is not that, I would go with a noise making device of some sort.
This is not a feeble attempt to get in two guesses in one post.
It is merely two very weak guesses and a poster too lazy to post twice.

Re: Just for The Heck Of It

After a hint like that, it can be nothing else than a tool for trimming cue stick tips.

Re: Just for The Heck Of It

Just a guess again- a rope/string cutter.
