its basically the same pack. and like i said before it seems like a good pack to me, the only thing i have had to do to use it is start switching to more compact and more light weight gear, which is something i wanted to do anyway.

i would think the trick would be to go to a walmart that doesnt really sell much of that kinda stuff and still carries it. dig to the back and see if you can find one. if you do you could always do what other people do (which i dont do) and buy that one and take the other one back with some ripped s...

the inside of the top of my old one feels kinda like rubber type stuff but the rest it fine. im going to look around at the ones here again this week and ill let you know more then about the ones we have here.

you can do a google search and find all kinds of places that sell the blank rods of every size. all you have to do at that point is epoxy on whatever you want to use as a handle.

all the stoves work well for me. the jetboil is great. im just trying to save some space again for winter trips since thats the next time ill be able to do anything.

brunton flex?
im looking into changing the old cook set again. i just cant get anything i like without the extra weight problem. i have been thinking about trying the flex as my stove and building the set around that. does anyone have any experience with one or more importantly know where i can get one cheap?
