Re: Plastic Lined Beer Cans as Pots

I sold real estate for several years. One property came up with benzene in the water and we had to have the well tested several times before it could be sold. And I'm not talking about a cheap "Board of Health" certification for e-coli, but something that came from a lab that had special equipment. ...

Re: Plastic Lined Beer Cans as Pots

I have no problems if someone wants to use plastic coated cans for their own cook set. But selling to people without advising them of the potential devastating health complications is another matter. Especially young people and adults who have yet to have children. Scientific studies have shown thes...

Re: Plastic Lined Beer Cans as Pots

I have not experimented with can pots. But I would burn it out, then wire brush, then clean like crazy. There really should be testing done on water boiled in can pot. But the "market" is so thin I wouldn't hold my breath for it. Just because a backpacker, or a stove builder, or a Scout Master says ...

Re: The BudLyte Alcohol Stove

The only reason that the cat was left out of the bag was because it had become apparent that the technique was going to be out for all to see anyway. By showing how he does it, his image gets a boost. Good PR ! SOP for tiny from what I see. Like his "disclosure" video. Once his back is again...

Re: for November.....

Excellent stove dlarson. The IV stove will surely be a "lifesaver" in extended cooking situations. Not much additional parts needed either.

oops! I like your supercat expresso stove too.But I think your coffeemaker has prostrate problems...

tiny is an arrogant blowhard whose actions speak volumes about him. He claims to "take the high road" but can't avoid taking cheap shots at others who question or disagree with him.

He has halitosis of the spirit.

Re: Hey another newbie

Hello and welcome. I'm a canoeist. Built 2 boats and owned several others over the years. I don't care much for kayaks but what ever floats your boat. I like wilderness tripping with an emphasis on Canadian Rivers, 2 weeks or longer. I've paddled the Missinaibi from Dog Lake to James Bay, the Bloodv...
