Re: Pet folding trail feeding bowls ...for people?
I checked the Petco foldables out this AM. One for $1.99 or 3 at $4.99. I had to take a pass. The plastic mils lands between a heavy duty ziploc freezer bag and a Platypus water bottle. First, I wondered how many "folds" it will take before it cracks. Also, most people know I have moved away from fr...

Don't know, what stuff do you have?
I like using 6 oz fiberglass tape. It comes with finished edges so no raveling.

Re: Pet folding trail feeding bowls ...for people?
I wouldn't use them in the microwave. All sorts of petrochemicals could be released.
I'm going to Petco this weekend to see if I can find a set of these. Can't beat the price, size OR weight.
Of course I'll have to make a new set of cozies as my old ones fit the ziplock cannisters...

Re: nchiker1970 water filter
It removes no bacteria, that's good enough for me to declare it's a "taste" clean up, not a "filter".
There is a guy on YT that uses a 1 micron polyester filter bag as his water filter. I'm a little skeptical as most commercial backpacker filters are in the sub micron (.5) range.

Re: nchiker1970 water filter
I realize they said to use this in combo with bleach. I assume the Britta filter is activated charcoal. I asked NCHiker and he doesn't know. What exactly does it "filter"? Particulates? Bacteria? Viruses? To what micron size? Pesticides? Chemicals? I'd be interested to know if it is a REAL filter or...

Re: AVOID SWINE FLU (don't do this...)
cute pic Hoz. I had a neighbor who had a heart attack while feeding his pigs. They ate his face off. :o I don't think I would trust a pig with my toddler. You know my sister asked me what sort of people would let a pig get that close to their kid when he could just take a bite. I repli...
