Like the new potstand. Seems to fit great. The pot of beans is making me hungry.
How much water does the ghillie hold? Also, how much fuel can you fit in there?

Re: Top Lit FireMug
I havent really figured a price on them. I have given a lot of them away and have sold a few but they included a lot of extras so it was not a basic setup. (i.e. ti-windscreen, ti-stakes, alcohol stove included) They are pretty labor intensive to make, but should last for many years. All of the 5 or...

Re: Top Lit FireMug
already pretty much hooked. I have already incorporated some design changes and I am working on the final hole pattern for my newest stove to be optimized for top lighting. I was able to get a large quantity of these cups and they are some of the sturdiest ones I have run across. Have a nice trip. I...

once more from the top
Been testing out all sizes of Firemugs to see how well they fare lighting from the top. It can add a couple of minutes to reach a boil, but it nearly doubles the period of time that it burns . In almost all of the tests with small water amounts,(in this case 2 cups) the boil comes before the wood is...

Re: Woodgaz UL wood burning stove.
The Woodgaz definitely has major possibilities. Who ever boils that much water anyway? It would be just the ticket for a huddle of coffee junkies, making a camp shower, or best of all to sterilize larger quantities of water for later use. The WG has a great amount of airflow from underneath and that...

Re: Woodgaz UL wood burning stove.
That is a nice setup. what kind of boil times are you getting with 6 cups in the kettle? WOuld one normally build the fire in that bottom pan? Will the woodgaz boil that much water on one load without the kettle? How long does it take you to prepare your wood? Nice small pieces. Do you just carry it...

nice knife. super light
I like some of those other ones with the other tools too, especially with the small pliers. I cant seem to break myself of the full size pliers in my leatherman.
The integral bottle opener is a nice plus.

Re: Grizz Bridge Hammock
beautiful state park. Jealous of your camping time. It looks nice and cool on video. How is the fishing around there? your hammock appears very sturdy. Is your preference in hammocks a bridge hammock? Is it called a bridge hammock because of the spreader bars? What are the benefits of it compared to...

Top Lit FireMug
I finally got around to doing some testing on my large slotted stove 24 fl oz, wt. 4oz, using the Top Lit method with the new lower 1-1/2" potstand. i need to think of a better name for this component because it plays such a big part in the quality of the flame. "flame accelerator maybe? :D I have d...
