Re: A New Stovie-

Russb, that is good suggestion, I was looking for something else to add to the testing regiment, whereby the two stoves are compared, the most efficient one is then taken to secondary testing, for pot height. I would reverse the process... maximize efficiency for pot height and then when one has th...

Re: A New Stovie-

Not sure about profound, but another idea might be to find the optimal pot height above certain stoves. Generating the function from the data (I would assume it to be quadratic) would be a mighty fine mathematical exercise.

Very nice.

I am an adviser for our school's science olympiad team, and am often impressed with the knowledge and skills some of these kids possess.

I usually stick with Robert Service. Prose is much shorter to read at one sitting. Plus it makes for a great campfire read as the embers die down before bed.

Re: a gram weenie is born

So thats what you hammockers do, shed your clothes and put them on while in the hammock? I use the hammock as a chair just like I would at home. The tarp is higher than any tent I have owned, I can stand under it. i have found it is easier to change clothes with a hammock than it was with a tent, a...

Re: BudLyte Super Stove

RR, my guess is the WB is able to overcome the low air temp and bring the alcohol to its vaporization point but since the water is in direct contact with the stove it continuously cools the stove below the vaporization point.
