There are plenty you tube uploads, just look for "rocket stoves" I'll get some pics of the other we made. It's amazing what you can do with these things. We cook in black iron kettles up to thirty gallons, I would love to have on big enough for something like that. the week of the Jambalaya festival...

I have had great experiences with them.
Reduce smoke by 40-50% are more and the same with fuel.
The kids like them because they are protected from the flames a bit more.
Stove Tec makes and markets a mass produced one, and we have it as well.

We cook on open fire down here for the Jambalaya Champ of the World........google Gonzales Louisiana
The kids cook on open fire with a one quart pot for the "MINI POT" Champ of the world.

And we made one out of an old freon can, but it was a pain. I don't weld so all I can do is have the idea and I have to bring the materials.
