I know, at least it seems, that all you guys hike and back pack.....( I know, duh)
But here is my little piece of heaven.......it's been in the family for over 50 years.........only way to get here is by boat.
Right in the middle of 64K acres of Wildlife Management area.

Got to look at the add close though.
They are selling only the stainless insert for the listed price.
the entire stove is like 3 bills...........

But it would be a great start for a guy like me that does not weld.
I can smell the sauce pi caunt now.

We have a stove tec coming in. I would preferr to cook with split oak. What I do for the mini pots jambalaya is to split oak pallets up and use that. Or we go by the local cabinet shops and get scrap. I also purchased from Rocketstove-dot-org a small rocket made out of what looks like a gallon insti...

We are just making the alcohol for now. BUT .....as a cajun, we cook on open fire quite often and I have ordered two commercially made rocket stoves to try out. The blue stove is another budlite can that we made by cold rolling the can in a die made from an additional can. We have tried them all and...

Thanks! May have to take you up on that barter offer........ I've been known to cook one heck of a shrimp and okra gumbo!!! We have a group at our elementary school that is teaching kids to cook "mini" pots of jambalaya on wood....... We cook four ounces of rice in small little black iron ...

New guy from down south. My fourteen year old and I are starting to make a few stoves. We are not backpackers but spend time at our camp in the bayou and really enjoy cooking outside on wood and gas.
