Re: Commander Conquistador

When I said outer pot I meant windscreen.

And you would think an accountant would know the difference between 3 cups and 4 cups. Apparently I did not; but I do now.
Thanks Dan

Re: Commander Conquistador

a touch over an ounce fuel , filled pot until about 3/4" from the top. I had trouble keeping the outer pot centered around the 32 Oz can. There was a little intermittent breeze so I put an old starlyte wind screen That I had increase the punches after watching your " out all around the pot windscree...

Re: Least thickness aluminum for non pot bearing windscreen

My exhaust chambers add an additional 3 ounces to the weight so I will want to make the whirlwind air input 9.5+ inches tall to be as lite as possible to compensate. I have some roof flashing around here somewhere (no doubt it is with the Dremel tool.) But I ordered and received 12" X 30" of 36 gaug...

Re: EXhaust chamber forcing exhaust swirlto swirl

Dan, I made another swirling exhaust chamber design of a completely different style. Cheap and easy. All set to test it but it is wider than the 1/4-3/8th inch space between the close to the pot windscreen and the 32 Oz. pot. SO, I am going to have to make a wind screen that will fit before I can te...

Least thickness aluminum for non pot bearing windscreen

Dan, I thought I asked but don't remember and can not find it. What is the thinnest aluminum sheet stock that should be used for non weight bearing windscreens. I am going to make a close to the pot with swirling exhaust chambers and your whirlwind air inlet windscreens. My windscreen will be betwee...

Re: Commander Conquistador

Commander, Possibly tonight I will get time to actually fire up one of my 32 oz. Conquistador kits. How many ounces of water should I put in the 32 oz. pot to go for a low boil and how much fuel (I use denatured alcohol-is that OK?) should I put in the(Very Cool) MONSTER STARLYTE? Best regards, Paul

Commander Conquistador

DAN IS THE MAN I just received my Conquistador sets. They are spectacular. The beer can Conquistador graphics are so stunning I am going to put Hi Temp Clear on at least one of my sets. The windscreen is beautiful and the attachment is a cakewalk to use. The plastic storage unit it perfect and even...

Re: Using heat sinKs built into the pot stand

Other than extensive brazing I do not know a good way to permanently attached the heat sink to the pot bottom. That is why I am making sure that the flame hits the pot bottom and I only try to scavenge some heat as the exhaust passes the outer edge of the pot stand around the very outside edge of th...
