Re: EXhaust chamber forcing exhaust swirlto swirl

Hot Darn. Another challenge! WEll, my 12"X30" .005 aluminum arrived which should allow for two or three failures of windscreen prototypes. UNless you tell me not to, I plan on having about twice as many swirling air input slots as Dan did in his whirl screen picture. Dan I am not sure why your swirl...

Re: silicone bowl for Imusa mug/pot

Dan, I will take the collapsible bowl. If you do not mind, please hold the bowl until we figure what else is going in this order so I only have to pay one invoice. OK. First the last remaining Fosters flat bottom pot stand (I love the no slide feature) and now the last remaining collapsible bowl IMU...

Re: Using heat sinKs built into the pot stand

I have a couple different versions of those corrugators and have tried something similar to what you are suggesting. I also used copper hi temp adhesive to attach the sides of a ribbed Spam Spread can. I could not tell any difference and that is when my engineer friend said that the heat transfer ju...

Re: New Ridgeline Pot coming this month

I was really going to buy all five but thought that would not be fair to my fellow forum members.

I really think they would be good presents to my grown children to add to their disaster kits.

Paul

Re: Whirlwind Windscreen

Dan Thanks for the explanation. Now if only can remember where in the world I put the dremel. How do I determine the amount and size of the inlet air holes to be dremeled into the windscreen? Apparently I also need to have the air inlet holes at approximately the same height as the top of the Starly...

Re: Using heat sinKs built into the pot stand

Wander, Back now. Thanks very much for your input. This is not ever expected to be a commercially viable project; just a fun project. If, like a blind squirrel, I stumble over a nut here , Dan will be most welcome to have the idea. After all, without him I would still be packing a Coleman one burner...

Re: New Ridgeline Pot coming this month

Yippee, I snagged three kits even though the tornado warnings (OCD, why do you ask?)were going off. I left a couple for others. Dan, are you also going to be offering just the 32 oz Conquistador ridged pot plus original lid alone with or if necessary without the flat bottom.? Regards and thanks. Pau...

Re: Using heat sinKs built into the pot stand

Some excellent points. I have seen my Starlyte boil and aluminum melt when I played things too close to the edge. Heat sinks cost pennies. Before I actually build a pot stand prototype with heat sinks, I will put some heat sinks up sides down on my Starlyte integral pot stand with my infrared temper...
