Re: multiple pot ridges and black paint to better absorb the

Mr. Heater,
Thanks.
I thought that a laminar flow would not transmit as must neat as a turbulent flow. I guess I thought that once the laminate flow had transmitted its heat that it would not be replaced by hotter exhaust unless there is turbulence.

Thanks again.

multiple pot ridges and black paint to better absorb the he

When I last was i the testing mode I was thinking AND A FULL HEIGHT WINDSCREEN but was wondering how much heat the windscreen gives up to the wind or the ambient air. I was considering putting a thin layer of firebox insulation or even Carbon fiber to add as an insulator. I understand that I am not ...

Is here any agreement that the bottom of the windscreen must not be vertical but must have a shape like the Caldera cone? This come from an old test thread from zelph about 2007. This distance between the incoming air and the flame allows the flame to swirl and have better combustion. Experiences an...

Re: Kmart Grease Pot Supportscreen DIY 03/09/2007

Thanks Zelph. So what are your thoughts on forcing the exhaust gas to swirl around the Pot(not just a Kmart pot but any pot)? Years ago I did some tests with a Bud Lite aluminum beer bottle and a 32 oz. Millier's beer can as the outer windscreen. The Millers can had the top cut off and there was abo...

Re: replacing new LEAKPROOF RIVETS on alum pots

Thanks Zelph,
I have heard /read somewhere of the replacement rivet leaking. Apparently that must be a function of a worn out pop rivet gun not making the new rivet tight enough?
