p.s., he deleted your comment, wonder why!!! Because he did not grovel at his feet and praise his stove ideas. It sounds like, if it's not a compliment or positive input.....it's gone ! You have to be able to take constructive criticism, esp. when he has no problem dishing it out ! Nope still there...

Cphobes , this set-up would be good for purifying water in large quantity. Also would be good for a base camp. I do base camp and bushwack most of the time. I have not tested how fast it will go from fast to slow. This type of stove is for large amount of cooking or very very long simmering. We must remember that the Trangias hold 3 ounces of fuel and that equates to a lot of cooking time or simmering. We don't need remote fuel supply unless we go for ...
