Re: pawn shop find

You might also try rubbing some baking soda into the areas that smell and then folding the whole thing up and let it sit some where for a week or so then just take it out side and give it a good shaking and see if the odor is still there.

Re: nalgene cleaning

Try a little rubbing alcohol it works about 75% of the time for me getting stuborn stickers off. WD40 for when all else fails. I've never used goo gone so I can't speak for it. If you want to try something test it on the bottom first to see if it will alter the finish. I once owned a nalge...

Re: ridgerunner was right!

I was checking out that site you posted. Pretty nice and not much more expensive than an air rifle. The description under the .62 caliber cold steel blow guns said you could get up to 20 yards. That's pretty impressive. I might have to check these out when I get some green flowing around here. :mrgr...

Re: Mystery Tool 62

It's the key to the front door of the castle so to speak. Insert into cog to turn the ratchet mechanism to raise the gate or drawbridge! At night the king takes the key with him so no one can let the would be raiders in. Removeable ratchet lever handle!

Re: Water Filteration and Treatment

I usually don't filter or treat my water but I do carry a MSR Hyperflow just in case I do need to filter. After all the talk of adding chemicals I have decided if that's necessary then I'll just boil my water seems like a healthier option although maybe not the quickest. But then again I can boil my...

Re: popcorn

I don't remember where I saw it but you can also pop popcorn right on the cob. But finding it to purchase that way may take a bit of searching. Advantage is you can pop it right on the cob around a campfire. I like the jiffy pop idea, mmmmmmm......Eggs!

Re: Wonder fuel

Doesn't last nearly as long but we use to do the same thing with 100 proof liquor bottles after empting them. We called it burning the ghost out of the bottle. 100 proof rumplemintz worked pretty darn well, it was rather entertaining to a bunch of intoxicated people.

Re: bushcraft a to z shaving

I don't think that's something I'm going to learn. After watching Sweeney Todd I think I'll pass. I did however get one of those save a blade things for christmas and a new Gillette Fusion. It seems to work very well, may be the last razor I will ever have to buy, well so to speak anyhow. Just think...
