Here is a link to a nice two man tent with a carrying weight under 5 1/2lbs or about 2 3/4lbs per person.
It has a lot of nice features if you are interested in a new tent.

I don't trust suggested retail but that was a good price you found. People must scoop them up fast from that site.

Firefox browser has an add-on, I think, for Steep and Cheap.

iPod has an app.

I think, if you leave it on a tab in your internet browser it will "refresh" itself with the next "offer".

I don't really need another tent but I did get a titanium cookpot from that site awhile back. I was at a yard sale last week and the guy had some old camping gear. I carried a $3 tent around for awhile and finally had enough self control to put it back down. I bought a few items and the guy was dissappointed that I set the tent down. He told me to just go ahead and take it for free. I still have not opened it but am sure it is a cheap wal-mart dome tent that I can scrap for parts or lend out or give to the kids in the family. The price was right!

nah..he's cheaper than I am. ;) .I probably would have donated a couple bucks to his worthy cause..
On the other hand..if it had "blue tarp" components..I wouldn't have even picked it up.I have to draw the line somewhere..and that's it!
