it's a hole saw. as it is the same on both ends i suspect it is a hand tool.

It probably is a hole saw, but my first guess would be a plug cutter.

I'd say a core sample borer or bit...That way they can push them out the back end,reverse it if it gets dull..

I saw one of those at my Proctologist's office, but, I can't remember the name of it, so, I guess I'm out.

i would guess its used to cut materials like leather or gaskets.

Interesting that the teeth don't appear to be sharpened and that, if it was a holesaw, it would need to be rotated counter-clockwise. Could it be some sort of coupling?

It's a wood screw "extractor".

Remember how "slotted" brass screws were so hard to remove without stripping the slot, I do :D

Roy was alert to see that the teeth are left hand.
