I've only got one old tool left..and I'm still using that one!You want a picture?
..got rid of the rest.
Actually I've got some modern mystery tools..some are even a mystery to me!(now..why the hell did I buy that?
)...
..When You are done with yours..I'll put up some simple ones..

That's right, the tool is known as a drain key or inside out wrench. After living in the country the last 20+ years and running well water thru a water softener, my tub drains have seen better days and I could not figure out for the life of me how I was going to change the hardware. The crossbars at the bottom of the drain have long been gone so after researching online, I found this tool and got a deal for one on ebay.Ridgerunner wrote:Cuz, I hate to see you drain your braintrying to figure out the key usage of this tool but keep going

Consider us well educated plumbers now thanks to RR. I had never heard of it, thanks RR!!! Makes life a lot easier when you got the right tools for a specific job.

Out west..we just use a "2x2 wedgie" or a sawzall(get paid by the hour,you know ..
)..it's cheaper;or replace the entire tub...

after seeing your thrift store finds, I totally realize the west coasters make too much money. A new tub would be the simple fix out west just like a new BMW would be the easy solution for a needed tuneup!or replace the entire tub...
