That's right, the tool is known as a drain key or inside out wrench. After living in the country the last 20+ years and running well water thru a water softener, my tub drains have seen better days and I could not figure out for the life of me how I was going to change the hardware. The crossbars at the bottom of the drain have long been gone so after researching online, I found this tool and got a deal for one on ebay.Ridgerunner wrote:Cuz, I hate to see you drain your brain trying to figure out the key usage of this tool but keep going
after seeing your thrift store finds, I totally realize the west coasters make too much money. A new tub would be the simple fix out west just like a new BMW would be the easy solution for a needed tuneup!or replace the entire tub...
