New 550 ml pot

This is a preview of my latest project, a cut down JetBoil 1l PCS pot. It is now a 550 ml pot with the pot to stove attachment ring cut off. I have had this project in my to do list for about two years now and finally finished it in the last two days.

The SUUL stove pot stand was designed to fit into the middle of the flux ring.

I cut the top off with a hacksaw, trimmed it up in a lathe and then rolled the lip in the lathe with a roller device that I made.

The pot weight is 87.3g
The lid is off a BPL firelite Ti 550 pot 13.0g
The pot grip is a cut down Jetboil cosy 6.3g

Total weight is 106.6g.

I am planning to do some efficiency comparison testing of the JB 550 and the BPL 550 pot soon, will post results when I do them. I am hoping that the pot is very efficient in the cold.

You still have some cold temperatures left to your winter to do the testing.

It's going to be very interesting to see the efficiency comparison testing of the 3. It'll show if their claims a true or Urban Lgend

Quite the buzz over at BPL about that remote canister. That's somethin' else also.

I've always admired the fins on the jet boil pots.
I mean, really it's genus. They act just like the fins on the processor heat sinks in our computers except that they capture radiant heat instead of dispersing it.
