I like it. Where does the piece after the valve come from?
Got a two burner setup yet?

Re: I.V. Stove
the piece after the valve is the drip window. it's there so that i can count drips-per-mississippi's to control the flow rate. i made it from a syringe body.CajunHiker wrote:I like it. Where does the piece after the valve come from?

i like the idea and was thinking about trying something like it. do you mind if i do something similar with my own spin on it? i do not intend on selling it for profit, just for my personal use.

Re: I.V. Stove
What do you think of this idea, I bought this pump at Walmart for $5.00 bucks back in The Summer.
It Is a mist sprayer, this would be cool to use on a stove, right now I am using this as part of my water purification tests.
I fill this up with the water from a lake or pond then run it into my gravity fed water filter.
The valve is fully adjustable from a steady stream to a very fine mist.
I may have to scrap my idea using it for water purification in the name of science and try to use it on a alcohol stove.
I will get some fuel line from a RC Plane that is fire rated and see how well it works.

Look what i made as part of my remote canister my remote stove project. Its 1 of 3. only 2 more to go. the the soldering and other bits. But have a look at the pics and try name the original product and the tools used.

More on topic now. medical suppliers stock I.V bags that hold quantities down to about 250ml. But the minimum order is for 50 units. anybody want one

The opinion of 10,000 men is of no value if none of them know anything about the subject.

Ok an update on the I.V bags, to buy from the supplier you have to be a certified medical practitioner or service provider. "Is there a Doctor in the House". The burner cups are made from 8g nitrous capsules. Drilled out, and cut down by placing it in the chuck of a drill and holding a hack saw blade on it.
DarreN, what diameter tubing are you using. I would like to use about two to three of those capsules for the burner, all linked via copper tubing and if possible a pre heat tube. Gonna fill the caps with Tiki wick, or pre heat as i doubt it will work with both.

Re: I.V. Stove
the tubing i used is 3/16" ID. i would have liked 1/8, but couldn't get the valve to match.
