Hi Zelph - I definately agree that wood stoves are kind of pointless if you use alcohol to start them, so I'll do my next test without it. I found that this design works well without a fan so I've taken that out as well.
I don't have scales to weigh the wood but in my next video I'll show how much wood I use and record the burn and boil times.
As far as the potstand goes, I've just been using two semi-circles of metal riveted together in the middle. I'll also show that in my next vid.
Time to improve and experiment!
