If I lived in OZ, I'd go on walkabouts and hunt My own food. Rabbits, Crocs, Kangaroos and such. :)

There are 5 million kangaroos killed each year mainly for the pet food market and it is legal in OZ to sell it as beef in pet food (it is actually a healthier meat than beef, I eat it regularly), and it is also legal for fast food chicken shops to substitute rabbit and not tell customers, the rabbit numbers have been down recently as a virus was introduced but the numbers are rising again. Crocs are totally protected. We have lots and lots of feral pigs, goats, horses, camels and deer that could be hunted for food. I prefer to hunt for feral Trout.
