wondering if this would work for a wood stove?

Sure, I think it'll work just fine. The dimensions are right in the neighborhood of good backpacking/bike size.

a cutlery stand / collector / container.
the web brings up great stuff when searching for "aluminum container" and "stainless container".
don't remember how exactly i ended up there...
