Jared, I have never seen a stove burn that hot. How fast does it consume fuel?

It's a good thing you found the new material to use on the pot stand. Getting red hot like that in sucessive burns will surely destruct the regular galvanized hardware cloth.

Your videos turned out great. The stove really pumps out the btu's, good for cooking for two or more. Melt snow for water easily. Very well done.

Thanks,
I didn't time that burn, I was just playing around that night.

I hadn't lit that stove in a couple weeks, but though I'd just try it out! It was just after I had filed the tri-pair with the Heineken pot - that pot stand is waay too tall for that burner & wide pot.

yeah, crazy, crazy burn!

It made my nose irritated just watching the video

Do they sell HEET gasoline antifreeze up there? If they do, burn that in your stove.

so. why were you useing the mixed fuel?

last week i got a couple gallons of racecar methanol. it isn't fresh and seem to have a bit of water entrained, but it works just fine. no difference in burn rates/boil times.

hiflyer, check your local racetrack/dragstrip. Ashcroft, maybe? ;)

cause Methanol is 9000 BTU & Ethanol can be 14,000 ;)

Racecar Meth is the exact same - called around already last week, but could only get 54 gallon drums :(
