Thanks for the Meta name. I had not heard of it before and did a google and found lots of interestin info about esbit and META stoves.

Here's one of the little hexamine tablet stoves,2.2 ounces(well bag and all is 2-3/8OZ with 5 tablets..)..It's got a barcode so I'm assuming you still might be able to find one..The stand unfolds to hold a small stove at 1-3/4" across(inside the wings) and a pot about 3" inside the notches..otherwise a pot could rest on top of the posts-->

As someone who thinks the starlyte is the best stove out there (I like my original better than the newest design) I am really enjoying watching the evolution of this stove. I cannot wait until it is finished.

While I'm waiting for my video to upload I'll post these photos to show the latest idea for fueling the StarLyte burner remotely. It's alot more secure and safe to do it this way. At the end of the tube is a fitting that has is held under spring tension inside the burner. Once the fuel tube is inserted it requires a firm pull to release it from the burner. The video will show the amount of pull required to disengage it. The rigid fuel tube is 1/8 OD conected to a short length of flexible tygon fuel line. The flow is controlled by the IV drip regulator as shown in the other video and photos.

Wow. That looks really nice. I love my Starlyte, and being able to bake or long-term boil over it would really make it the cats meow. How long is that rigid tube currently? It seemed a little long for my liking. I understand the safety aspect, but love to keep things small and tidy.

When finished it will probably be 3 inches long. That will take the Tygon tubing away from under the flame patern. Once you get a windscreen around the stove and pot, heat will build up and I dont want it having any effect on the flex line. The IV bag is about 4 inches wide and 6 inces tall and holds 250ml of fuel. Were going to be using the remote for a long time simmer or cooking/boiling. It's not going to be used to heat 2 cups of water. 3/4 ounce of fuel dumped into the center of the stove will do that.(field conditions)

I saw on the net the other day a remote fueled stove that is being used to heat 2 cups of water. It took 12 min. and approx 1 ounce of fuel. I can't help but to think that the people buying the stove will eagerly drink the cool aid when passed around
