I am still missing something, what is the importance of the last number:
20.69938588
According to russb, it's the efficiency by percentage(his spread sheet). I'm waiting for him to give us some input on how he arrives at the numbers. Disregard them for now ;)

Excellent kit, Zelph. With the simmer sleeve, this stove should do a nice job at baking! :D How long will an ounce of fuel burn in the simmer mode? half an ounce?

I have not tested that feature. Maybe tomorrow after I mow the lawn. :D

Indeed, need a test of how long it will simmer and at about at what temp. Zelph, do you have a temp gun? I've also added the "goto" onto the Zelph Stoves Facebook page. ;)

Keeping me busy are you? :D

I'll go out today and purchase a heat gun so I can be more accurate.

At what temperature do you want me to simmer at?

Thank you for adding the GoTo over at Facebook. ;)

A batch of stoves is complete, now for the windscreen and simmer sleeves and attaching labels to the fuel bottles. Also mowing the lawn and other yard stuff

Mow at night when the sun is low. You really don't need sleep do you? There are orders to fill! LOL

Good question! I would think somewhere around 125*-150*. A lot will depend on the size pot one is using. IYou might try setting the simmer for a 5" pot and see what shakes out. Will you be able to control the simmer by raising the simmering sleeve or is it a loose fit?

It's a snug fit and will raise and lower easily. It's easy to adjust the tension of the sleeve. I'll have to do an instruction video on how to use it.

I did not get out to purchase the heat gun.....bummer....got the lawn mowed and worked on windscreens and simmer sleeves.

Anyone else have a simmer temp that they use? Need more imput on this. Am I spinning my wheeels on simmer sleeves. wonder how many out there simmer. Let me see if I can conduct a poll.

I bake in simmer mode. A butane burner is a no brainer but I like alcohol. Right now I prefer a Trangia for simplicity and consistency. I will be interested on the SS's baking abilities! ;) :DB:
