Since 2 cycle oil and other things come in small bottles with a clear strip to see the inner contents and have a strip there marked off in ozs becaue you need to mix 2-1/2 to 5oz per gallon of fuel..it would be a convenience for campers to do likewise if the people that made the product sold it that way.Personally I like the flat heet bottles because they fit nicely in the outer pockets of backpacks and have a nice long skinny neck for pouring.The 12oz size gives me plenty of fuel for 2-3 days if needed,plus extra if I feel like something special like baking,"nooner coffee",etc.realityguy, The local pharmacist sold me an empty bottle marked off in ounces: 10 cents

Re: Companion burner for the Bushbuddy stove
When I open a bottle of "heet" I poke a pin hole in the foil covering the top of the bottle to crate a nice small squirt hole for accurate filling of stoves or medicine cups.

realityguy,
Why not write Heet and tell them your idea?
They likely don't know there is an entirely different "market" buying yellow Heet for backpacking stoves.

More than likely they would rebottle it as "backpacking alcohol stove fuel"..at $3 a bottle.They likely don't know there is an entirely different "market" buying yellow Heet for backpacking stoves.

Have to agree with this. The less they know the better for us.realityguy wrote:

A classic example of charging more for something less is Toilette Tissue
A roll of 1,000 sheets cost $1.50
Coghlan's repackages it into 280 sheets and sells it for $2.25.
http://www.rei.com/product/798536?partn ... _-10456937
Carry soft, strong and absorbent Coghlan's toilet paper on your next camping trip.
* Individually wrapped rolls do not contain a core, thereby keeping weight and bulk to a minimum
* Toilet paper is biodegradable
* Each roll contains 140 single-ply 4.5 x 4.4 in. sheets
* Package includes 2 rolls
$2.25

Re: Companion burner for the Bushbuddy stove
"single-ply"?
At least, it should be "double-ply".
I admit, I have paid more for biodegradable marine toilet paper for my kayak
and now I have biodegradable wipes that are even more expensive and guaranteed to disintegrate in 2-weeks, just in case, I cannot pack it out.
I spent a lot of money, and, I still pack it out!

Re: Companion burner for the Bushbuddy stove
I think it should be extra soft double-ply, at the price!
Were we talking about stoves?
Is it Friday, yet? I wonder if I have any money left over, after rent?
