Amazing! I had never seen these before. What a great way to start a fire. I gotta get me one - or two - or ....

I wonder if you could make something similar by taking an old lipstick tube, put the catalytic wick from a handwarmer inside and put some methanol in it. That would be fun to try. I've got an old handwarmer or two laying around. Now, just to find them.

good idea, I'll give it a try also even though the handwarmers have a different ignitor system. Platinum wool what ever that is.....I'll google
