How about utilizing the integrated wire support stand (as on the original StarLyte) for use with a small fry pan ?
If I integrate a pot support then I can't utilize the fuel saving feature of the lid/cover that prevents evaporation. It's difficult to remove and replace the wire pot support. It has to have a separate pot support.
The carbon felt simmer pads will work well with this size burner for meals that require long simmer times.
If I use a carbon felt pad with the same size hole acting as an insulator in conjunction with a "regular" windscreen, I should be able to use the burner without it going into a radical, burn "HOT" mode. I would hope I can keep the regular windscreen in close proximity of the pot....say like 3/8". That means the windscreen could be at a minimum length and be at min. weight and also fit inside a small diameter pot....like a beer can pot.
