Corrugated Heat Diffuser

Postby zelph » Sat May 21, 2016 12:27 pm

Corrugated Heat Diffuser made of .002 stainless steel. Started out as a 4.25 circle. After corrugating it, the dimensions came to be 3.75 x 4.25

Diffuses heat really nice. I did one test using a starlyte burner under the toaks TD cone. Diffuser was placed on top of cone. Diffuser never got red hot in center, only at the very outer edges where flames peeked over the edge.

I’ll do some evening hour videos using a canister stove to see how it reacts on it.

The corrugations do really well at keeping the diffuser flat. I used the same stainless steel as used on the BGET’s

The diffuser weighs 3 grams.

I like the double layer disc diffuser so I tested it first for thermal feedback to a canister:

Another test to see if discs remain flat after heating. Tested "positive" :D
