Many years ago I met three brothers who were hiking the CDT with a mule. They weren't going "period correct" and even said the mule was only slightly better than going without him. They also carried their own packs. They had bow and arrows with flu flu and a fishing rig to supplement their meals.

I wish this guy luck. But a regular menu of Pemmican would tie me up tighter than Dicks Hatband.

6 lbs of beef tallow?!?!?!?!?!!!!??!?!

Holy bovine heart attack batman. How in the world does this not go rancid?

I think it's mule food :D the mule eats at a good pace, stays loose as a goose and does just fine :lol:
