Pickled Eggs

Postby zelph » Tue Apr 19, 2016 9:06 pm

Had the thought of having pickled eggs for camping. Anyone got a good recipe for seasonings to add to them?

Remember Timmons?

Dances with Wolves! Excellent movie and no, I don't have a recipe for pickled eggs. Beet juice gives them the pink coloring. I'm not a fan. I'd rather have the hard boiled but the last longer pickled ;)

Now ya did it! I'm going out today and get a jar of pickled beets, eat half the jar and then soak some boiled eggs in the remaining juice and then enjoy. Picked beet juice is sweet and will give an enhanced flavor 8-) thanks for the idea :D

Watch this video again and reflect on the site that it was filmed at.............looks like a real authentic, abandoned homestead site.
