My thrift store finds this morning

Postby dpritz » Sun Dec 13, 2009 12:36 pm

I found two great things this morning

#1 a 3/4 Thermarest for $1.99!!!!! (the stupid employee put the tag right through the mattress so I will have to patch it)

#2 some sort of candle holder or maybe potpourri burner ( a tea light fits in it perfectly and the base is a perfect pot stand $0.99 and it was even half off so it was only $0.50!!

not bad if i do say so myself here are some picts.

:o Doesn't that make you wanna slap them silly? GRRRRRR!

The other is probably for a chafing dish to keep food warm.I see a lot of those but the weight factor and overall size stop me from buying them for other than home or to use for testing stoves..yes,I have bought a couple also in the past.

Good finds! :DB:

Good find on the Thermarest ! Hopefully it patches up good for you. The candlehold is a dime a dozen in the one thrift store I frequent. It could have had a shade or popouri bowl for the top. Enjoy you thriftin' ! :D

I just love "Thriftin" :D You did just fine.

The potstand is nice size for testing DIY stoves. Cut the tealight holder off and slide your stove under it for testing. Works slick....mine does :D

What kind of tealight is burning in the photo, wickatized?
