Got this stove on ebay for $5.00 + shipping. Interesting way they designed the alcohol burners and controls for varying the amount of heat. The stove is meant to be surface mounted with about 1/2 inch exposed on the surface. Has a hinged Pyrex type glass top(not shown in my photos) When I got it in the mail I eagerly disassembled the unwanted electrical portions :o

I now will clean it up and then add fuel and sit back and watch it do it's thing. I'll boil some water and have a round of Ramen. It's cold enough out there to have some hot chocolate also.

This is a link to ebay to see the stove as listed for the auction: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Kenyon-Alcohol- ... true&rt=nc

These are mine taken today:

After I clean it up and see how it works it will be given away to my son-in-law if he wants it. Good to have as an emergency source for cooking when power goes out during winter storms. I have 2 Origo double burners and 2 single  One i have in my motor home and one for car camping with family. Never can have too many stoves or lanterns

Having too many lanterns and candles can cause tunnel vision. The last time the power went out I went looking for some until my wife walked in carrying a couple of our solar patio lamps. :ugeek:

I have one lantern that is readily available in the house. It's an Aladdin that has 60 watts of light capabilities using pure lamp oil. Ridgerunner wins with zillion lanterns in his storage unit :o he wins

Sudden now knows where to get light in an emergency, asks his wife

I did nothing on my stove project. Family over for dinner :D time consuming ;)

Got one thing accomplished, a new lid for 10cm Imusa mugs. Now I can call it a pot because it has a lid.

Lid weighs 9 grams

Pot and lid combined weigh 2.8 ounces

Has a volume of .7 qt. 2 cups plus a skosh  It has enough of headroom that the 2 cups wont boil over.

The lid has tremendous wind resistance for it's light weight. I need to do a video of that.
