Camping Hammock..

Postby realityguy » Mon Mar 16, 2015 7:44 pm

This is the first actual camping hammock I've found in a thrift store here, found a couple days ago.no name brand but it has a tiny "Made in China" tag. Anybody have an idea who sells these? The sides are bug mesh about 18" high, canvas bottom, and nylon top..that makes somewhat of a square top end above the hammock...with a ridge tie-off and one on each side at each end...I haven't hung it yet.
Camping hammocks aren't too common around here...Of course it was dirt cheap..

Yeah..I was thinking military until I found the China tag..Sometime I'll have to see how it hangs, especially the top end...I imagine a person could maybe use a pole across the ends within the lines ..maybe tie it to the pole on the outer ends and keep the base wide at the ends...just a thought for you "bridge hammock" people...or people that were thinking of making on of that style..(Let's see...who was gonna do that?? ... )

I had good initial intentions. :D

I needed to reclaim my garage workshop :P So now all the stuff that's in the green house needs to be relocated until a plastic covering can be placed over the remaining roof supports.
