Postby StaticVagabond » Sun May 11, 2008 9:46 pm

Garmont Flash III XCR: (Retail $139) I paid $13.00
Thermarest Ridgerest sleeping pad: (Retail $25) I paid $3.00
I was at my local thrift store when I saw these gortex hiking boots. I bought them for 13 bucks! They are in excellent condition too. :)
I picked up the sleeping pad for $3 at a yard sale in good condition too!

Excellent find!!!!. I'll have to start the week off right and do around of the local stores. My wife and I did a mental count of the amount of stores that we have here in town. We counted 11. My wife had the time to go out to the closest one and purchased a new automatic bread maker for $2.71. It was for a friend of hers that wanted to do some baking in one of that kind. seek and you shall find.

The camping stuff should be arriving now that is spring. Keep your eyes open everyone!!!!

Where are the Garmonts made?

Garmont was born as an Italian Alpine Ski boot manufacturer in the 1960s.

Oh..oh..I see competition!..LOL!..I live in Lynnwood..there was a pair of mountainering boots, same brand,at value village in marysville for about the same price if you hike that high.Only problem seem to be a small amount of peel to the weather proofing under the upper laces area..good soles..think they were size 9 or 10s..

I still shake my head in wonderment trying to figure why someone would let lose of such an expensive pair of boots. Truly a great find.
