I just made the switch from iodine to aqua mira chlorine drops on my last trip and enjoyed my coffee a lot more. I havent tried the aftertaste tablets for iodine. I always forgot to take them with me.

The aftertaste tablets do work to neutralize the iodine labor. I bought a pur water filter that came with an iodine cartridge :o it didnt take long to figure that one out

I once spent an entire summer camping in the Lost Creek Wilderness Area in CO, drinking untreated stream water with no ill effects. That was when I was young and reckless, though. Around the same time I got engaged to a girl I'd known for 3 weeks... I don't think I'll do either again, even though I lived to tell of it.
