The YAMA website has instructions for a DIY/MYOG Bug Shelter.

This DIY/MYOG is impressive.

In addition, he has a great website worth seeing.

The hot weather here in Illinois has kept the Bugs down and out for the most part. Ahhh!!!! but that will not last long  they will return so we need to prepare our shelters ;)

Thanks Connie for the interesting site link. Really good info there. :D

Gen, Of Yama Mtn. is currently engaged in a Canada to Mexico journey via UNICYCLE. yep. a unicycle.
He has some very helpful videos showing methods of working with Cuben fiber and double sided cuben tape on his youtube channel.
He is supposed to post some pics of his setup for me sometime today.

Any idea what kind of bugs he will encounter on the Great Divide Trail?

I tried to find a photo of his unicycle but failed. Looks quite special from a distance in one of the photos taken in Butte. I can see it has handle bars and a breaking system of sorts. Interesting!

I pictured him having a wide brimmed hat with a bug netting drapped over it :o

I had one of his bug shelters, the 1.5 and I really liked its size and workmanship. I sold it because I just dont like how slippery silnylon is for a floor.
I love his tarps too.
He is really nice and has some nice MYOG videos for sewing, etc.

I dont see any new pictures of his unicycle on the blog either but you can tell that is one funky machine. :D
