Don't forget to make an appointment

This sign is on the approach to Bear Mountain Bridge over the Hudson River. A real head scratcher.

Only in this day and age of Cell Phones would there be such a sign :D

Hey You, before you jump, give us a call. Use your Ipod one more time!!!!! :D

When I drove ambulance for the local vollunteer fire dept, I went out on a call to assist in the recovery of a womans body that lay at the bottom of the bridge. She missed the water and landed on the rivers gravel edge. This is a view looking down under the bridge towards the river.

She parked her car on the bridge, got out, put her purse on the hood and then proceeded to jump off.

We have those on all our bridges here over the Hudson.

Oh, and no cell phone needed. As it says, there is a phone ahead.

Heh... Another song that may not quite be appropriate. ;)
