Thunder Lake

Postby Mags » Thu Jan 31, 2008 6:44 pm

Nestled at the foot of the mountains is the Thunder Lake patrol cabin. A popular place in the summer for an overnight backpack (14 miles r/t) or a longish day hike, there was no there this past Sunday other than one other skier. Breaking trail was hard..but with views like this VERY REWARDING.

After all day in the snow I ate a ton. :)

WOW!!!! It looks like the snow is at least 3 feet deep, how did you break trail?????

I bet you ate everything in one sitting so you would lighten your load for the trip home :D

totally magnificant scenery, well worth the trail breaking :D

Cheers!

Thanks for the kind words.

It is a patrol cabin, so that very well may be a radio antenna. What an office view..'eh? :)
