Photograper eats nuts and rice

Post by zelph » Tue Oct 01, 2013 9:19 pm

Korean filmmaker Sooyong Park, the photographer, eats rice and nuts only for months at a time. does not leave his small shelter/hide for 4 months. Puts his waste in zip locks and has his assistant pick them up once every so often. When his assistant comes with supplies their eyes do not meet, just talk a bit and leaves with waste.

If you get the chance to see this documentary, do it! I'm going to purchase the video online. It's hard to fathom what the photographer had to endure to get the rare footage of the tigers.

Hunted almost to extinction, the last wild Siberian tigers can only be found in the forests of the far eastern Russian frontier-but not easily.
Ecologist Chris Morgan embarks on a challenge that will fulfill a lifelong dream - to find and film a Siberian tiger living wild and free in Russia's far eastern forests. To help him, Morgan turns to Korean filmmaker Sooyong Park, the first individual ever to film Siberian tigers in the wild. "Siberian Tiger Quest" premieres on PBS Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at 8pm ET and is part of the 31st season of the Peabody and Emmy award-winning series produced by Thirteen in association with WNET for PBS. Major support provided by Canon U.S.A. Inc.
