Veterans Day 2008

I'd like to offer a heart felt "Thank You" to all that have served and are currently serving in our Armed Forces through out the world. Take the day off tomorrow with pay, compliments of your employer :?

in Canada we call it Rememberance Day, but it means the same thing no matter which side of the border you happen to live on.

Thank You to all those who have fought, are fighting, or will fight for the freedoms we enjoy.

I gave my youngest brother a call. He served in Iraq two years ago.

I think he appreciated the phone call.

If you know a veteran, give him or her a call...

Througout the day the Civil War kept coming to mind. Over 800 thousand perished for freedom. Our President overcame!!!!

I talked to a veteran at an antique store yesterday. I guess he owned the place.
He was ranting something about "at least put a flag outside" to someone on the phone. :lol: He was a nice guy though.

I served in France until DeGaulle kicked us out :roll: What a kick in the butt that was :o

My first attempt at marriage began in France with a native and ended in the states. Second attempt succeeded :mrgreen:

I've lost most of the language because of non-use, just the easy words remain. Lots of great memories of my time over there, from France to surrounding countries for one reason or another got to travel incomunicado/incognito :mrgreen:
