I've really enjoyed the blog and all ideas shared here this year. I've learned a lot. We have had a lot of snow here in Seattle and it is sticking around too. Very unusual. I took some time and did some cold weather testing. Here is a little light experiment I performed in the snow the other night. A gift of Christmas light to the bplite blog. Enjoy, and Happy holidays:

Hey..it is also Hanukkah this week, too. :) So happy Hanukkah! (My friends celebrate Hanukkah, so I tend to by default. Good food, good friends..what is not to like ;) )

The birth of Jesus Christ is the reason for the season. Let's all keep that in mind.

Do you think one of the Wise Men included a little alcohol stove to go along with the Frankincense and Myrrh?????

Frankincense and myrrh are both resins -- dried tree sap -- that come from trees of the genus Boswellia (frankincense) and Commiphora (myrhh), which are common to Somalia.

The way that people collect the sap is similar to the way people collect rubber-tree sap or pine-tree sap. Cutting the tree's bark causes the sap to ooze out of the cut. The sap used to create both frankincense and myrrh comes slowly and is allowed to dry on the tree. The hardened sap is collected and used as frankincense and myrrh.

I've given away many stoves this past year. I'm glad to have been able to share them with you. Sorry that all have not been able to get one. I hope the information that is contained here will have been of some help to everyone in some way or another. I've learned alot from all of you, thank you!!!!

I wish each and every one of you a Joyous Christmas and may all of you be of good health and cheer. Eat well, smile alot and enjoy life. :D

DaddyMnM , thanks for the Christmas Light video. It brightened my day!!!!! We look forward to the enlightenment that will come someday on how you created it :D
